It's Transfer Season
Beginning during the Tour de France each year, riders sign short- and long-term contracts to ride for new teams in the coming year. This year, the pro transfer season has continued through the winter as riders have continued to sign for teams in the wake of last summer's doping scadals. Ivan Basso has signed for Discovery Channel. Will Jan Ullrich sign for Met Life, Village Cycelsport, or Team Mack?

Northwest Suburban Transfers

Tim Henry--VisionQuest

Joining Robbie's boys in blue and yellow, Tim's move was announced on the VisionQuest website earlier this fall. At the end of 2005, Tim's coach had him running to stay in shape. Certainly, the elite coaches of VQ have some tough work on the trainer in store for Tim in preparation for 2007.

Dan Verner--Team Mack

Moving from Village CycleSport over to Masters 40+ rival Team Mack, Dan and Robert will be able to practice their attacks and counter-attacks, lead-outs, and two-man time trailing during the HarperRide this year.

Guy Delgado--Out of Retirement?

Is 2007 the year that Guy Delgado comes out of retirement? He's approaching 40, and with Dan Verner moving on, Village CycleSport might be looking for Guy to fill a niche on its team.

Scott Ouimette--Just wanted his picture on the Internet?

Scott sent this picture to HarperRide.net for publication on the Transfers Page. Scott IS staying with St. Louis-based Mesa Cycles for the coming season after rumors circulated about his team for 2007. He did name the picture, "Fat and Retired." Is the new home, work, and a family taking its toll on HarperRide's craftiest sprinter and #2 Ladies' Man (after Sir Andy Kerr)?
