The Potholes of the Route

Overall, the roads of the HarperRide are fantastic, and they have even improved in recent years. Due to re-paving work, the roads of the Hills are in great shape. Nevertheless, there are some potholes throughout the course that all of the riders know well. Now, HarperRide.net is giving names to these holes.

In honor of HarperRide cyclist, Steve, who created this great contest, every few days a new pothole will be named by you, the riders of the HarperRide. Simply submit your names as we move through the potholes in the order in which they appear during the ride!

Central Road East of Ela about 200 meters "The Rim Reaper"
Penny Road Most of the west from Route 59 along the right side "Rattle, Rattle, Thunder Clattle, Boom, Boom, Boom"

Penny Road Near the Center Line, Just before the turn at Bateman "Shake, Rattle, and Roll"
Bateman Road Near the first curve (the one that curves to the east) "Boom-Shaka-Laka"
Bateman Road Just before the curve leading to the Rozman Climb on the right side "Nike Shoes"
Bateman Road Right side in the first curve of Twisty Descent #1 "Boom-Boom"
Bateman Road On the straight section of Twisty Descent #1 - "Tim's Flat"
Bateman Road At the bottom of the Twisty Descent (Patched, but still not-so-good) - Submit a name for this pothole at the end of Bateman Road!
Oak Knoll Road--The Ommegang--The Anti-Pothole This bump sticks UP from the pavement in the middle of the Ommegang, disrupting the tempo of the riders who are unfortunate enough to hit it. - Think of a name--Check back soon for this pothole's naming week!
